About the Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Screening in Brooklyn, NY
, you will serve and safeguard clients in residential settings. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a residential location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access awareness, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication.

Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $18.02 / Hour
Schedule: Day Time – Monday to Sunday, 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by observing entrances and exits, verifying visitor activity as directed, and reporting suspicious behavior and policy violations.
• Support daily residential operations by communicating with onsite personnel, assisting with routine inquiries, and maintaining detailed logs of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities.

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• X‑Ray screening experience is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
