The Security Operations Center Specialist is responsible for the daily operation of all physical security efforts, monitoring and responding to security systems and technology, and communicating effectively with internal customers and colleagues. This position works closely with Brink’s Operations and Branch leaders to proactively address security gaps/issues related to interdepartmental logistics.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and respond timely to alarm signals and technical alerts.
- Communicate effectively with internal customers and follow all departmental and company policies.
- Complete required equipment checks, daily logs, and regular system audits.
- Answer multiple telephone lines and respond professionally while gathering information, troubleshooting, transferring calls, or providing instructions.
- Provide technical support and follow procedures for service and inspection requests.
- Maintain facility security and operations, following company policies to provide a safe environment.
- Assist other departments with special projects to support teamwork.
- Participate in job‑related training programs and meetings to refresh knowledge.
- Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security setting.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft 365 software.
- Ability to make independent decisions.
- Valid weapons permit or ability to pass applicable licensing requirements.
- 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent minimum;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency with Brink’s proprietary/commercial software packages (e.g. BITS, Garcia).
- Knowledge of tactical security operations.
- Knowledge of the logistics industry; operations, products, services, policies, procedures.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience drafting Standard Operating Procedures and/or Standards of Work documentation.
- Professional, positive demeanor.

- Excellent decision making and analytical skills.
