As a Security Officer Unarmed Part Time Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Mon  03:30 PM - 12:00 AM Tue 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify that only authorized individuals enter restricted areas, following visitor procedures and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Support a professional environment by providing directions, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to site leadership.
Minimum Requirements
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
