• Hours are 7am-3pm or 3pm-11:30pm
• Must be able to work weekends as well
• Pay is $50 per hour
• Must be retired NYC law enforcement officer with an Armed Guard license

The Armed Retired Law Enforcement Officer will conduct armed and/or unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior). The Officer will greet customers entering the retail space and work with staff members to deter theft.

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site‑specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site
• Intercede, escort, or assist in escorting persons as needed
• Observe and report inappropriate or suspicious behavior and/or materials/objects to the client
• Communicate and/or document any irregular security‑related or safety‑related incidents

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Background investigation required;
  Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Prior civilian or military law enforcement experience
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment; a valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only

• Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
• Minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
• Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
