Security Officer Part Time Alarm Patrol

Position Summary

Allied Universal® – North America’s leading security and facility services company – is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Alarm Patrol in New York, NY to safeguard clients across a range of industries such as retail malls. This part‑time role offers flexibility and the opportunity to build a schedule that works for you.

Part Time

$21.63 per hour

Mon and Sun: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site specific policies and appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while assisting staff and visitors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrance areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and document security‑related concerns, policy violations and/or incidents according to site procedures.

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required per federal, state and local laws.
• Criminal history considered in accordance with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required only for driving positions.
