Position SummaryThe Botanical Garden Attendant Guard enforces the rules and regulations of the Garden.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities- Attend, guard and patrol assigned areas.
- Responsible for the protection of displays, buildings, equipment, facilities, and grounds in area of assignment.
- Maintain order in the area of assignment and assist in the detection, ejection and/or apprehension of miscreants, undesirable and disorderly persons.
- Maintain occupant safety as per NYC Certificate of Fitness for Public Assembly Safety Personnel (F-03).
- Candidates must possess and maintain a valid New York State Driver’s License.
- Candidates must possess and maintain a valid New York State Security Guard License from the Division of Licensing Services.
- Must have a minimum of two years full-time experience in security or related work.
- In possession of a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Candidates must possess and maintain a valid Indoor Place of Assembly F-03 Certificate of Fitness or be able to successfully receive the required Certificate of Fitness within the first 90 days of employment.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work in all types of weather conditions.
- Friday to Tuesday, 10 AM - 6 PM. Regular Days Off:
Wednesday and Thursday.
