Public Safety Officer

This is a full-time, on-site role as a Public Safety Officer at The Juilliard School’s New York City campus. The Public Safety Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Daily responsibilities include performing security patrols, responding to emergency situations, providing exceptional customer service, enforcing safety protocols, and collaborating with law enforcement and emergency services personnel.

The role involves ensuring the safety of all individuals and property within Juilliard's campus and associated performance spaces.

• Experience in Public Safety and Physical Security
• Knowledge in Emergency Services and basic crisis management procedures
• Background in Law Enforcement or related fields
• Strong Customer Service skills with a commitment to creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Familiarity with security equipment and technology (e.g., surveillance systems, access control systems) is a plus
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred
