• Minimum Requirements: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma. Experience as a security guard or security officer may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
• SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Current registration as a Security Guard with the New York State Department of State.
• Transportation: If appointed, you will be required to have a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or otherwise demonstrate your capacity to meet the transportation needs of the job.

• Previous work experience with students K-12
• CPR/AED certification or willingness to be certified
• Ability to work with groups of students, staff and public
• Willingness to work additional hours as needed
• Willingness to work an alternate work day schedule as required to support the educational program needs
• Daily attendance is expected

• Provides security for the school building and enforces security and smoking regulations
• Works collaboratively with other safety team members to take action on the discipline and behavior problems of students within the school building
• Builds relationships with students to facilitate student academic and social success
• Works collaboratively with other security staff to quickly resolve any problems involving student safety
