Physical Security Console Operator; Edgewood, NY

At Broadridge, we are seeking a Physical Security Console Operator to join our team in the New York City office. The role is on-site, 100% of the time, and includes multiple shifts throughout the week and weekend as needed for a 24/7 facility.

• Oversee the physical security of the site, protecting assets and personnel.
• Supervise and control personnel access into the facility.
• Monitor and report event alarms triggered on the access control system and/or Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) system, /access badge issues, and the historical log book.
• Respond to, evaluate, and resolve any event alarms received at the console monitoring station.
• Conduct roving patrol inspections of the facilities, both external and internal, and notify the appropriate Broadridge authority of any issues, including procedural breaches of security policies.
• Keep the Security Management Team informed of all security matters and issues relevant to the site, and perform additional duties as directed.
• Work occasional overtime; shift may change based on coverage and department needs.
• Travel and perform other related duties and functions as assigned by management.

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written, with Security and Facility personnel.
• Vigilance and prompt reporting of security issues or incidents.
• Basic filing and phone courtesy skills.
• Proficiency with a personal computer, including typing, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Pay rate: $18.00 per hour, plus a shift differential depending on the shift. Bonus eligible.
