Location: Bronx, NY

Starting Salary: $23.13/hour (currently under contract negotiations)

The Parkchester Police Department is actively seeking motivated and community-focused individuals interested in pursuing a meaningful and dynamic career in law enforcement. As a Patrol Officer, you will be part of a respected public safety team responsible for protecting and serving a diverse Bronx community of over 50,000 residents.

We are looking for candidates who are ready to take on new challenges every day — individuals who want to make a real difference, assist those in need, and enforce community rules with professionalism and integrity.

• Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure public safety.
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service.
• Enforce New York State and New York City laws and Parkchester community rules.
• Provide public safety by maintaining order, responding to emergencies, protecting people and property, enforcing motor vehicle and criminal laws, and promoting good community relations.
• Provide assistance and support to residents, businesses, and visitors.
• Record facts to prepare reports that document incidents and activities.

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid NYS driver’s license.
• U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency.
• Pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation.
• Must meet New York State and New York City Special Patrolman requirements.
