Security Officer - Medical Facility

Position:
Security Officer Medical Facility – New York, NY. This is a part-time role with the option to build a flexible schedule and explore new roles.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Part-time

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and unusual or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may need attention.
• Monitor access points and help control entry and exit activity by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and reporting suspicious behavior in accordance with site policies.
• Support a professional environment by assisting with routine security-related checks, observing activity in sensitive work areas, and following post orders for reporting, escalation, and/or incident response.

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• High school diploma or GED required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• For unarmed roles: at least 18 years of age; for armed roles: 21+ years of age.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.
• Qualified applications with criminal histories will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screening will be conducted as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
