Security Shift Supervisor – College Campus, Manhattan, NY

Full Time. Work days:
Friday - Tuesday. Shift: Evening. Pay rate: $23.55 - $24.55 per hour.

Allied Universal Services is seeking a Professional Security Shift Supervisor to supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services on a specific shift at an assigned customer. The Shift Supervisor will act as a liaison between site supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager, and security officers. Responsibilities include supervising staff on the assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within approved empowerment range.

• Supervise security officers on the assigned shift and ensure service delivery to the client.
• Coordinate with site supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager for operational alignment.
• Provide coaching, recognition, and progressive discipline within approved empowerment guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and client requirements.
• Maintain shift documentation, incident reports, and logs as required.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner; escalate as needed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and communication with clients and staff.
• Perform duties in a variety of environments and conditions including outdoor, indoor, and high-traffic areas.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels of personnel and the public in a professional and effective manner; ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
• Ability to prepare written reports and logs; neat, legible handwriting.
• Ability to read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• For driving positions: valid driver's license, at least one year of driving experience, clean driving record (no major violations within 36 months, no more than one accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), insurance as required by company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle.
• Must successfully complete a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test; may be required to pass driving record check.
• Intermediate computer skills to utilize wireless technology at client sites.
• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently.
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in various environments and weather conditions; stand or walk for long periods; occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds; climb stairs, ramps, or ladders.
