In this role, the Security Officer will provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees. The Security Officer will perform all duties assigned consistent with New York‑Presbyterian’s commitment to providing quality health care services in a compassionate and humane manner. This is a full‑time day shift position (7:00 am-3:00 pm), including holidays and rotating weekends at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

• One year security experience within a hospital or related medical setting.
• Valid driver’s license.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 8 & 16 Hour Security Courses.
• NYS Security License.
• Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 90 days of starting in role and continued BCLS certification required every two years.
• Must be able to write and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and visitors, with clear and legible writing.
• Basic computer literacy.

All roles require on‑site presence and employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse travel expenses.

$23.42–$24.05 per hour
