Siena University Public Safety Officers ensure the safety and security of the Siena University Community by providing professional supportive services to students, employees and visitors. Duties include (but not limited to):
- Campus patrol by vehicle, bicycle and foot
- Ensure compliance with: college rules, traffic rules & laws and ordinances
- Physical security checks
- Access control
- Motorist assistance
- Computer aided dispatch and CCTV monitoring
- Community outreach and training

Schedule:
This position requires flexibility to work assigned shifts, including 8:00 a.m.
- 4:00 p.m., 4:0 0 p.m.
- 12:00 a.m., or 12:00 a.m.
- 8:00 a.m., as well as weekends and holidays, based on operational needs and staffing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid New York State driver's license with a satisfactory driving record; must maintain licensure throughout employment.
- Flexibility to work assigned shifts in a 24/7 operation, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- New York State Security Guard License, or the ability to obtain one within a specified time-frame after hire.
- Ability to successfully complete a background screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some college education preferred.
- Prior experience in security, public safety, military service, law enforcement, or a related field.
Pay Rate: $20 per hour
