General Purpose

Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all program participants, staff, and visitors. Monitors activities throughout the premises and promptly reports all incidents to management.

• Ensure the safety and security of the program premises at all times
• Monitor daily activities of participants and staff to promote a safe and orderly environment
• De-escalate and mediate conflicts between staff and/or participants as needed
• Document and report all incidents, including staff and participant conflicts, in a timely manner
• Supervise designated areas when participants are awaiting police or paramedic assistance
• Serve as Fire Guard when assigned; ensure safe evacuation of all individuals in the event of a fire
• Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines on a daily basis
• Keep the immediate supervisor informed of activities, outcomes, and any potential issues; recommend corrective actions when necessary
• Uphold confidentiality when handling organizational, program, staff, participant, and volunteer information
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and effectively defuse and resolve conflict
• Team-oriented, flexible, and energetic approach to work
• Valid Fire Guard certificate required

• Promote a safe environment by proactively identifying and addressing potential risks
• Provide direction to staff when necessary to prevent unsafe or harmful situations
• Use sound judgment to de-escalate tense circumstances and redirect behavior
• Maintain awareness of the facility layout and be prepared to respond quickly to emergencies
• Demonstrate strong observational skills and situational awareness at all times

• Role requires physical mobility, including standing, walking, and responding quickly to emergency situations
