GSG Protective Services is seeking a Fire Safety Director. The Fire Safety Director is responsible for ensuring the safety of all guests, employees, and Visitors on the property. This position protects the site, employees, and guests from property theft, misuse or damage. Additional duties and responsibilities will be defined in the site-specific post orders.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for becoming familiar with incoming and outgoing traffic, knowing the customers, tenants, visitors, and guests.
• Follow established emergency planning, procedures, fire protection, and safety standards.
• Prepare reports, such as inspections performed, standards violations, and recommendations for eliminating fire hazards.
• Patrol all areas of the property according to procedures, ensuring security and safety, and that all facilities are in good working condition and appearance.
• Monitor security cameras and dispatch officers, as needed. Investigate incidents and complete incident reports accurately and completely, according to procedure.
• Respond to emergencies, accidents, and other incidents, according to procedures.

• Ensure a healthy and safe work environment for co-workers and guests.
• Be alert and attentive while on duty to ensure personal safety and your ability to observe activities, irrelevant of working environment.
• Collaborate with all GSG Protective Services and client staff, irrelevant of position rank or title.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Practice all safety rules and procedures, at assigned post, as established by GSG Protective Services to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
• Report designated activities and irregularities by submitting written and/or verbal reports.
• Additional essential duties will be defined in the Post Orders of the specific post for which the security officer is assigned.

Requirements

• 21+ years of age
• Security Guard Permit Qualified.
• FSD/FLSD Permit as required by state law.
• T89 (Required)
• S95 (Required or willing to obtain)
• Documents that establish identity
• Documents that establish authorization to work in the U.S

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• Listen, understand, summarize, transfer and retain basic instructions and detailed information.

• Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment.
