* ** Responsibilities*
* + Maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment for staff, visitors, and patients.

+ Provide exceptional customer service while serving as the first point of contact.

+ Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols on foot.

+ Respond promptly and professionally to incidents and service requests.

+ Utilize Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) principles and de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations.

+ Monitor individuals when necessary to promote safety during potential elopement situations while following established procedures.

+ Work closely with the onsite Security Operations Center (SOC) and other team members during incidents.

+ Complete accurate reports and communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow officers.

+ Maintain a professional appearance and positive demeanor at all times.

** Minimum Qualifications*
* +  
** 1-3 years of prior security experience.*
* +  
** Valid New York State Security Guard License.*
* +  
** High School Diploma or GED.*
* + Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

+  
** Experience with, or the ability to learn, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) and de-escalation techniques.*
* + Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in stressful situations.

+  
** Physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods, including frequent foot patrols.*
* + Ability to safely monitor and follow individuals during potential elopement situations while maintaining professionalism.

+ Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Previous experience in a healthcare, hospital, behavioral health, or similar customer-focused environment.

+ Experience responding to emergencies and documenting incidents.

+ Familiarity with access control, incident reporting, and security operations.
