Facilities Services Technician
Location: NYC/Financial District
Salary Range: $70,000 to $80,000
Position Type: Full Time/Exempt
Position SummaryThe Facilities Services Technician maintains and services a facility's mechanical equipment, control systems, power distribution systems, and HVAC systems. Performs preventative maintenance, routine repairs and periodic safety inspections. Reports to the Chief of Office & Facilities Management.
Responsibilities- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs to minimize operational disruptions.
- Check and service HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems to prevent failures.
- Ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
- Coordinate repairs with vendors, building maintenance team and outside contractors; manage work efficiently.
- Order replacement parts and schedule specialized tasks.
- Operate Building Management System and maintenance management software.
- Maintain safety compliance and relevant regulations.
- Support general office tasks, such as furniture arrangement and mailroom support.
- Act as Fire Safety Warden, manage fire brigade and coordinate fire drills.
- Respond promptly to emergencies outside business hours.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of office support experience.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and other relevant building systems.
- Adaptability to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Valid driver's license; ability to drive if needed.
- Hand‑on tasks and ability to lift at least 25 lbs.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

- Ability to build relationships with external parties.
- Visual inspection skills to ensure equipment meets standards.
