As one of the nation's largest single-source providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, and energy management solutions, FSG is expanding its team in New York and seeking a Journeyman Electrician.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare sketches or follow diagrams/blueprints to plan wiring and equipment placement, ensuring concealed wiring is installed before walls, ceilings, and flooring are completed.

Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste, facilitate future maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance with codes.

Design layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on specifications and local codes.

Coordinate work for a team of Electricians.

Install control and distribution equipment such as switches, relays, circuit-breaker panels, Buss, Busbar, electrical feeders, and switch gear.

Repair faulty electrical equipment or systems.

Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring and fixtures.

Advise management on equipment safety and operation.

Maintain attendance and adhere to notification procedures for lateness or absences.

Maintain valid electrician licensing or identification as per regulations.

Work flexible hours, including overtime, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to multitask and stay organized.
Strong communication skills.
Customer service skills.
Experience as a Foreman is a plus.
Ability to pass a drug screening.

Salary range: USD $25.00 - USD $32.00 per hour.
