HVAC Technician

Summary: Assists in installing, repairing, and servicing industrial, commercial, and residential environmental control systems by performing the following duties. Must be able to trouble-shoot all types of HVAC equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities;

• Cuts, punches, flanges, shears, and solders sheet metal & fiber boards, ducts and parts.
• Cuts threads and packs pipes.
• Cements insulation in place over finished piping or tubing.
• Passes electrical wire through conduit, splices wire connections, and tapes wire.
• Assembles sheet metal components of prefabricated furnaces.
• Replaces exhausted or defective containers of refrigerant with new refrigerant.
• Lubricates fans, motors, and control units.
• Installs air and water filters in completed assembly.
• Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
• Performs other routine duties.
• Repairs refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• Maintains inventory and orders HVAC supplies
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivilant qualification required
• HVAC License required
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Organized, good communication, detail-oriented, and an aptitude for problem solving
• Minimum of 3 years verifiable HVAC experience is required

Compensation: Starting $30 an hour
