Job Overview
Michael Grimm Landscape & Tree Service is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Hardscape Foreman to join our Field Operations team. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee hardscape installation projects from layout to final execution—ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship, efficiency, and professionalism. You’ll manage and guide a field crew while actively participating in the build process, interpreting design plans, setting grades, and delivering quality results on residential and commercial properties.

- Interpret hardscape design plans and transfer measurements accurately from blueprint to site
- Read and follow both written and verbal instructions
- Lead and direct crew members in layout and installation of patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other stonework
- Operate and maintain hardscape tools and equipment
- Set and maintain accurate grades and elevations
- Ensure jobsite safety, cleanliness, and material organization
- Deliver completed projects that meet high standards of quality and detail
- Maintain open and professional communication with team members and clients
- Travel to various job sites in a company vehicle or with reliable personal transportation
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in hardscape installation or landscape construction
- Strong understanding of grading, layout, and site preparation
- Ability to read tape measures and layout measurements accurately
- Experience leading or mentoring crews on job sites
- Positive, team-first attitude with strong communication skills
- Must have valid NYS Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- ICPI Certification preferred (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute)
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks

Full-Time
Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed
