Location: New York
Under the direction of the Director of Building & Grounds, the Simulcast Technician is responsible for the coordination, troubleshooting, installation and repair of all simulcasting related equipment, communications wiring, and security equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSKILLS AND ABILITIES
A thorough knowledge of the satellite communications field including experience with fixed and movable satellite systems, video distribution and cabling, and satellite equipment installation, set‑up and diagnosis. Proficient in the use of signal strength meters, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and various hand tools.
ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCEA high school diploma or GED, plus a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of the foregoing experience and training sufficient to indicate the ability to effectively perform the required duties of the position.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
Must be approved for and maintain a valid Video Lottery Gaming Employee Service license and racing license issued by the New York State Gaming Commission.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis is a stationary role approximately 25% of the time. This position requires the ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds at a time, including satellite dishes and fiber boxes. The person in this position must be able to access and inspect areas of the facilities, including bending, crawling, and climbing extension ladders. This position also requires the ability to operate heavy machinery, including scissor lifts and boom lifts.
The person in this position must be able to talk and hear in order to ensure proper communication.
