Green Roof Installation Crew Member

Start Date: March 2026 Compensation: $22.50 – $27.50 / hour

• Build on-structure gardens and green roofs to NYGR standards of safety and quality.
• Maintain job site cleanliness, organization, and safe material staging.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, vehicles and shop to optimize performance.
• Participate in weekly, monthly, and annual safety and training programs.
• Participate in professional development and skillsets training opportunities.
• Contribute to a positive team culture by being engaged and respectful in all interactions.
• Contribute to NYGR's positive professional reputation at all times in your communication, behaviors and appearance in addition to taking pride in your work.

• Construction and / or Landscape trade experience – Minimum 1 year
• An interest in plants and green infrastructure
• NYC SST 40-hour certification (will train the right candidate)
• A strong work ethic, professionalism, and a team-oriented mindset
• A clean driving record and ability to drive a truck in NYC
• Physical endurance to repeatedly lift up to 50lbs, climb stairs and endure inclement weather.

Preferred

• Green roof experience
• Horticulture experience or education
• Irrigation and low voltage lighting experience
• Paver on pedestals installation experience
• Carpentry, Masonry, Plumbing or similar trade experience
