Field Service Technician
As a Field Service Technician
, you will play a vital role in the installation and commissioning of conveyor equipment and systems at customer sites across the country. You will ensure all work meets project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. This position requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, problem‑solving ability, and the professionalism to represent the company while working directly with customers.
This role is 100% travel
, including weekends. Per diem is $60/day (7 days/week), and all hotels, flights, and travel-related expenses are fully covered by the company.
- Install and commission conveyor equipment and systems, including mechanical and electrical components.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and company quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to conveyor system installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Communicate project status, risks, delays, and progress updates to the project manager and internal teams.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and customer service to support successful project delivery.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and service records.
- Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other equipment safely and in accordance with site requirements.
- Follow all EH&S regulations at customer facilities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Experience working with conveyor systems.
- Strong electrical knowledge and troubleshooting ability.
- Mechanical/millwright experience, including installation and alignment.
- Ability to read/interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as within a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel 100% for extended periods.
- Physical ability to work in field environments, including climbing ladders, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy equipment.
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical installation, ideally in the conveyor or material‑handling industry.
- Understanding of Spanish is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to use a smartphone, tablet, or laptop for reporting and documentation.
- 100% travel required

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
