Pearce is seeking Experienced HVAC Technicians to join our team for servicing and repairing commercial HVAC equipment on telecom shelters located on Cell Tower sites. This is a fast-paced and rewarding job that is best suited for individuals who are responsible, self-directed, highly motivated, willing to travel, and looking to learn and grow in the Telecom industry.
This is a regional position. Candidates should reside in the New York City, New York area.
- Maintaining cooling systems – diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing and replacing components of entire systems.
- Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC equipment.
- Performing additional maintenance or upgrades to out-of-season HVAC equipment.
- Responding to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call out services.
- Timely and accurate completion of daily work reports.
- Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.
- Travel extensively in an independent work structure, including occasional overnight stays (company pays all travel costs and provides per diem).
- Be exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors and lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Complete a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). as required.
- Must be Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (Required).
- 3+ years of experience with HVAC maintenance (commercial preferred).
- Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems is preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.
- Must be able to comply with OSHAFCC/FAA/EPA Standards.
- Available for after-hours and weekend call outs on occasion.
$30.00-$38.00 hourly/DOE. At Pearce, we are committed to fair and transparent pay practices. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
