Mobile Plumbing Technician Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Plumbing Technician to join our expanding plumbing division. This role requires a Journeyman with a Gas certification and a backflow certification, with a willingness to join Local 94. Preferred candidates should reside in the Bronx or Queens area and possess a strong background in commercial plumbing repair and maintenance.
ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily operation of the site's water and sewerage systems.
Perform both preventative and corrective maintenance on various facility plumbing systems.
Demonstrate knowledge of plumbing equipment and systems required to operate and maintain them.
Perform Backflow Certifications for multiple clients.
Anticipate potential problems and take appropriate actions to maintain facility structures and assets.
Plan and layout work details in assembly, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of plumbing systems.
Troubleshoot and correctly repair all aspects of plumbing systems and interpret blueprints and plumbing schematics.
Interact with clients and maintenance staff to determine the best approach to completing assignments safely and in compliance with environmental regulations.
Safely use a variety of hand and shop power tools.
Complete all documentation by required deadlines and document accurately in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) in real-time.
Perform all incidental or associated work required to complete the job assignment.
Work with minimal supervision and proactively communicate with managers.
Maintain work area and equipment in a safe, efficient, and clean operating condition.
Strictly adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
Assist in performing other duties including work of other trades as required.
Plumbing Journeyman's and/or State License.
Backflow certification or ability to obtain within the first 90 days of employment.
High school diploma or state equivalent.
Minimum of 4 years of plumbing trade school or training equivalent with 5 years of plumbing work experience.
Valid state driver’s license.
Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to operate hand tools, work on ladders, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, and operate a motor vehicle.
Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of overall MEP system design and application.
Experience managing work orders utilizing CMMS technology.
Experience working in a service-related role specific to commercial facilities.

Work EnvironmentThis position involves working in diverse physical conditions, including tight spaces, rooftops, and varying temperatures. Candidates must be able to lift up to 80 lbs, work from heights, and endure frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, and stooping. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
