Position Overview:
The Part-Time Electrician will assist with electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for various projects in the Bronx area. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to following safety and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in commercial settings
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and ensure proper operation of systems and components
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and local electrical codes
- Collaborate with supervisors, apprentices, and clients to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition
- Valid New York State driver's license (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of electrical experience (commercial)
- Knowledge of NYC electrical codes and safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- OSHA certification is a plus
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Part-time (Flexible hours; weekdays and/or weekends depending on project needs)
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
