Facilities Electrician

Description

Perform all facility maintenance and facility support functions including electrical maintenance and installation. Work as a member of a high performance, customer‑oriented, proactive team. Maintain accurate records. Install, test, and maintain heavy duty and high power electrical system including distribution and substation equipment. Maintain and troubleshoot large capacity building HVAC system and electrical system, etc. Repair, construct, install, troubleshoot and maintain routine electrical system and equipment.

Cut, threads, bends, couples, and strap conduit. Cuts wire and conduit to length. Install, repair and/or replace boxes, light bulbs, plugs, sockets, light fuses and extension cords. Disassemble motors, generators and other equipment in preparation for repair. Troubleshoot for safety and efficiency. Uses blueprints, drawings, layout, or other specifications, and electrical hand tools and voltage‑or‑amperage measuring recording devices.

• Candidate must obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
• Candidate must have at least 10 years of documented industrial electrical experience (non precedent setting) and/or Journeyman status within the electrical trade
• Candidate must have electrical experience working in an industrial / commercial environment
• Candidate must have and maintain a valid driver license
• Candidate must be able to lift 30 lbs with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Candidate must be able to operate a variety of hand tools and power tools
• Candidate must be able to operate single person/scissors lift
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain any required certification

• High School degree or equivalency
• Electronics/Electricians background desired
• Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting and installations
• Strong communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints
• Work well with others, as well as by yourself

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Non‑standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader

The base range for this position in New York is $42.21 - $45.90. Benefits offered:
