Diesel Technician

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Bronx, NY
. You will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Complete complex internal engine repairs
• Perform engine overhauls unassisted
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
• Locally valid driving permit
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Previous Cummins Internal Engine Repair & Software (Insite/QSOL) experience (Required).

• Has used INSITE/QSOL or OEM software for T/S, ECM calibrations and testing.
• Has completed more than one unassisted overhaul on a Cummins engine. In-frame or out of frame.
• Has a detailed understanding of aftertreatment systems.
• Has performed multiple internal engine repairs. Examples include head gaskets, camshaft replacement, cylinder kit replacement, bearings, etc.
• Good understanding of troubleshooting trees.
• Cummins certificates.
