Pipefitter

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter with extensive experience in pipe fitting and refrigeration piping for AC units. The ideal candidate must have a strong experince in brazing and soldering, particularly with copper as well as fitting and welding black pipes. This role requires a dedicated professional with the ability to read blueprints, perform various HVAC piping tasks, and hold relevant certifications.

• Read and interpret drawings and blueprints accurately.
• Lay out piping systems efficiently and effectively.
• Perform brazing and soldering tasks with precision.
• Cut, assemble, and install tubing and piping systems.
• Conduct assembly, connection, and installation of HVAC piping.
• Test, repair, disassemble, disconnect, and troubleshoot HVAC piping systems.

• Minimum of 8 years of pipe fitting experience.
• Refrigeration piping experience for AC units.
• Active F60 Fire Watch Certificate.
• Active G60 Burning Certificate.
• OSHA 30 + SST Card.
• Proficiency in brazing and soldering.
• Experience with copper pipe (up to 2 inches) and black pipe (schedule 10, 40, 80 up to 14 inches).

With over 30 years of experience in HVAC design, engineering, service, and installation, we are a multi-million dollar corporation servicing hotels, theaters, large retailers, apartment buildings, and offices throughout the New York area. Normal working hours are from 7 am, Monday to Friday, but flexibility for overtime and weekend work is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr.
