We are seeking a reliable, mechanically inclined Garage Door Technician to join our team serving homeowners across the Albany region. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working in the field, solving problems, and delivering high-quality results for customers.
You'll be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing residential garage doors and openers while representing a company that is focused on professionalism, efficiency, and long-term growth in this market.
What You'll Do
* Install new residential garage doors, openers, and related systems
* Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
* Replace springs, cables, rollers, tracks, and hardware safely
* Complete service calls and preventative maintenance
* Educate customers on repairs, upgrades, and proper door operation
* Maintain clean, organized job sites and company vehicles
* Follow company processes to ensure consistent, high-quality installations
* Accurately document work performed and materials used
* Work closely with the operations team to complete jobs on schedule
What We're Looking For
* Strong mechanical aptitude (construction, automotive, HVAC, or similar experience is helpful)
* Dependable, hard-working, and able to work independently
* Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical work daily
* Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
* Professional communication and customer-service skills
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
* Willingness to learn - we will train the right candidate
Garage door experience is a plus, but not required. Candidates with strong hands-on trade experience are encouraged to apply.
