The Security Service Technician is responsible for independently performing service, and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and other low-voltage systems. The technician ensures systems operate properly, meets customer expectations, and supports compliance with applicable codes and standards.#

* Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

*** Independently perform service, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.
* Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.
* Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
* Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on security and low-voltage systems.
* Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, system layouts, and technical manuals.
* Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete service work efficiently and safely.
* Complete service documentation, inspection reports, and work orders accurately and on time.
* Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding job progress and system status.
* Follow all company safety procedures and customer site requirements
* Travel to job sites as required.
* Other duties as assigned by management.

* Qualifications:

*** High school diploma or equivalent.
* 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, if driving role.
* Strong working knowledge of intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and low-voltage systems.
* Ability to work independently and complete standard service jobs without direct supervision.
* Ability to read and interpret technical documents and system drawings.

* Use of hand tools and testing equipment.
* Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
