Schreiber Excavating, LLC in Ontario, NY is hiring a full-time Lead Excavator - Sitework Technician
.
This Lead Excavator - Sitework Technician position pays $29 – $35 per hour
. You will work on important sitework and construction projects with a team that values hard work, teamwork, and getting results.

As a Lead Excavator - Sitework Technician, you will help install underground pipes for storm water, sewers, and water mains. You will dig, move earth, and prepare the ground for roads, parking lots, curbs, sidewalks, and building foundations. You will use different heavy machines, work with lasers and GPS systems to measure and guide your work, and read construction plans to know what needs to be done.
Keeping your work area and equipment organized and safe is important. You will also help plan jobs and make sure everything meets company standards.
- Valid driver's license
- 5+ years of sitework, excavation, or civil construction experience (10+ years preferred)
- Strong experience in underground utilities, grading, and heavy civil construction
- Heavy equipment operating experience (excavator, dozer, loader, skid steer)
- Experience using construction lasers and pipe lasers (GPS experience preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans and scopes of work
- Ability to perform physically demanding field work
You will usually work between 6:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Most weeks are 50 to 55 hours
. Your start and end time may change depending on the job for the day.
