Overview
Under general supervision of the facilities manager, the stationary engineer will be responsible for the safe and proper operations of all facility systems, including HVAC, electrical equipment, electrical distribution and fire protection systems, boiler plant maintenance, chiller plant, plumbing, and all machinery and physical structure. Beyond ensuring a safe, timely and high‑quality operation, the engineer will also perform a variety of technical and managerial tasks.
Responsibilities- MUST hold a NYC High Pressure Boiler License.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on units throughout the facility, including periodic inspections and minor repairs.
- Read and log meters, gauges, and other recording devices.
- Maintain high‑pressure boilers and associated equipment, including regulating boiler water/feed water testing and treatment.
- Order engineering supplies, parts, tools, and equipment.
- Manage compliance with administrative and regulatory policies/requirements.
- Conduct water testing of cooling towers.
- At least 4 years of experience in maintenance operations.
- Experience repairing air compressors, combustion equipment, and refrigeration equipment.
- Strong electrical knowledge to troubleshoot combustion firing controls, refrigeration equipment and related safety devices.
- Must be CFC certified.
- Diploma:
High School or equivalent. - Required and active licenses: NYC stationary engineer license, Q99 refrigeration engineer license, A35 air compressor license, and S95 fire alarm panel license.
- Part‑time:
Tuesday – Wednesday, 2 am to 2 pm. - Full‑time:
Tuesday – Wednesday – Thursday, 2 am to 2 pm.
$42.00 hourly.
