Job Overview
Practice safety rules. Follow verbal and written instructions. Report to and assist immediate supervisor. Perform quality work as determined by project specifications. Accountable for all tools and materials at the end of your shift. Must work well as part of a team. - Mobilize equipment, including loading, unloading, securing, set up and tear down.
- Maintain equipment, vehicles, and tools properly accounted for and used for correct purpose.
- Serve as backup to other positions at the direction of management; perform other duties as assigned.
- Perform tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds daily, and occasionally more.
- Operate motorized equipment safely.
- Communicate orally and understand instructions.
- Proofread and check documents for accuracy, use a keyboard to enter and transform words or data.
- Comply with company drug and alcohol abuse policy.
- Pass physical examination, pre‑employment testing if required.
- Use safety equipment (respirator, personal protective equipment) as required.
- Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds daily; occasionally more.
- Grasp and manipulate hand tools, stand, twist, bend, pull, push, reach, and stoop regularly for up to two hours.
- Work on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel) and in confined spaces or elevated heights.
- Climb ladders, scaffolding, stairways; crawl or work at elevated heights and in confined work spaces.
- Work outside in extreme heat or cold; exposure to humidity, rain, loud noise, and potential chemical exposure.
- Minimum 1–2 years related experience excavating near underground utilities.
- Valid driver's license required.
