Job Description

Under the direction of the Director of Facilities, the position of Maintenance Technician 3 is to maintain the general appearance of the campus, including buildings, grounds and infrastructure.

Qualifications
  • A high school degree or equivalent is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience with the ability to demonstrate a high-level of expertise in grounds keeping, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and mechanical repairs.
  • Must have the ability to interpret data, oral and written.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of people representing all social and economic segments of the community.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
Essential Functions
  • Completes daily maintenance duties such as trash removal, building repairs, responding to maintenance calls and snow removal.
  • Participates in long-term maintenance projects, such as repair/remodel of rooms, buildings and other improvements to grounds and infrastructure.
  • Operates equipment safely, including but not limited to trucks, ground equipment, carpentry tools, etc.
  • Completes routine maintenance of equipment to ensure good working condition.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment, including vehicle construction areas.
  • Completes maintenance and repairs as needed in groundskeeping, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and mechanical repairs, or any additional area deemed necessary by the Director Of Facilities.
  • Works independently or as a team member to complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Attends and participates in meetings and training sessions.
  • Works regularly-scheduled weekend rotations; must be able to arrive early or stay late when bad weather (snow) or other needs arise.
  • As a 24-hour operation, all staff may be asked to work weekends, evenings, night shifts and/or holidays in order to serve our members, guests, and program participants.
