Position Description

Position Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, pumps, and energy management systems.
- Install, test and troubleshoot HVAC systems for laboratory, administrative, and residential buildings.
- Maintain air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers, electromechanical control systems and other mechanical systems.
- Interact with other trades, scientific staff and laboratory administration on job performance.
- Order necessary supplies and materials from approved vendors.
- Troubleshoot maintenance problems.
- Reclaim, recycle and add CFC and HCFC refrigerants to air conditioning and refrigeration systems in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Education
:
High school degree or equivalent required. Refrigerant technician license preferred. - Experience
:
Minimum five years experience in general mechanics, HVAC and equipment controls maintenance and repair. - Other
:
Valid driver’s license and ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC/R problems.
- Ability to read blueprints and complex wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of BMS beyond the graphics level.
- Interact with laboratory staff as needed.

The hourly rate for this role is $31.09–$37.99. Our employees are compensated with competitive pay, exceptional health benefits, retirement plans, paid time off, a wellness center and access to an affordable on‑site childcare center.
