Mobile HVAC Technician

Job Summary

Mobile Engineer – responsible for operating, inspecting, and maintaining HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production systems in assigned facilities to achieve efficient operation and extended equipment life.

• Operate, inspect, and maintain all HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment and systems to obtain the most efficient operating results and life expectancy.
• Assure that equipment is maintained in an energy‑efficient, safe manner and that downtime is reduced to a minimum by anticipating necessary repairs and keeping thorough records of past operating experiences.
• Perform inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls, flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, and lighting.
• Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC/R systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repairs, related grounds, and production equipment in assigned buildings.
• Carry out preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems, equipment, and components.
• Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions that impact client occupancy and operations.
• Submit P‑card receipts, update work order status in real time, and utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.

Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.

• Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment).
• Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, production equipment repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of overall system design and applications.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial refrigeration and/or supermarket refrigeration.
• High school diploma or GED.

• Experience utilizing CMMS (Work Order) systems.
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
• Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration and HVAC.

• Mobile position covering Rochester, NY and surrounding area.
• On‑site – Rochester, NY.
• Standard business hours with on‑call availability.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Call‑in work may be required.

Estimated compensation range: $68,640.00 – $76,960.00 USD per year.
