Responsibilities
- Description must be able to make decisions on repair priorities based on work assignments.
- Participates in preventive maintenance programs and procedures for the facilities (HVAC, fire systems, door inspections).
- Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs existing door hardware and/or building related systems.
- Must be able to assemble furniture/wire racks and relocate them. Install picture frames/shelves.
- Performs electronic recordkeeping related to preventive maintenance and repairs in the facilities.
- Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
- Must be able to work alone and/or in a team environment.
- Adheres to all Estee Lauder safety procedures and practices (GMP/LOTO etc).
- Trains new employees on ELC practices and procedures within the department.
- Adopts a detailed approach to problem solving as it pertains to facilities equipment in the buildings.
- Must be able to operate a company vehicle and is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance needs.
- Advises management on current inventory status and requisitioning parts and supplies.
- Travels to multiple buildings within the campus.
- Assists management in evaluating new equipment installations.
- Performs other duties as assigned and required.
- Requires a positive outlook and high energy level for a very fast‑paced, stressful working environment.
- Is resourceful, has excellent interpersonal skills, and is team oriented.
- Possesses strong leadership abilities with the skill set to exercise independent judgment with respect to real or potential problems.
- Has a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Is proficient in communicating both written and oral.
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $27.00 to $44.00. Exact hourly rate depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Hourly range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to the hourly rate, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
