NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn is a full-service teaching hospital and Level I trauma center located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The hospital is central to a comprehensive network of affiliated ambulatory and outpatient practices, and serves as NYU Langone Health's anchor for healthcare access, growth, and delivery in the entire borough.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic in Brooklyn.

• Operate chillers, absorbers, and Co-Gen units.
• Carry out boiler operations and troubleshooting.
• Perform plumbing work on valves, traps, etc.
• Conduct water testing and chemical treatment.
• Install, maintain, and repair pumps, compressors, motors, and fans.
• Maintain and adjust heating and cooling system controls.
• Maintain and repair San‑I‑Pak machines and sterilizers.
• Repair rolling equipment such as beds, stretchers, crash carts, etc.
• Manage electrical wiring and replace parts.
• Maintain fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
• Install and repair hardware on doors, windows, lockers, and other equipment.
• Maintain and repair carwash, dishwashing machines, kettles, and similar units.

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school graduate preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience in electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC.
• Working knowledge of operation and maintenance of all equipment components in the power plant.
• Strong grasp of all trades.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

The salary range for this role is $73,836.05 – $73,836.05 annually, based on experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. This range does not include bonuses or other compensation.
