Location: Stanley
Fulltime H-2A Seasonal Job available 04/01/2026 - 1/31/2027 for Agricultural Supervisor (45‑1011.00). Supervises approximately 20 workers on a farm owned by Duncan Family Farms.
Crops / CommoditiesAsparagus, cucurbits, sweet corn, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, Romanesco, hops, parsley, herbs and related crops.
Responsibilities- Train, supervise and coordinate seasonal agricultural workers.
- Ensure workers comply with the employer's strict growing requirements.
- Confer with managers to evaluate weather or soil conditions, develop planting and harvesting plans, and discuss operational issues.
- Communicate harvesting plans, procedures and schedules to personnel.
- Determine production requirements, equipment and supply conditions, and work schedules.
- Prepare and maintain time or payroll reports, and document personnel actions such as performance evaluations, hires, promotions or disciplinary actions.
- Assign duties and work schedules to employees.
- Record agricultural inventory data.
- Inspect products or operations to ensure standards are met.
- Coordinate agricultural activities, including scheduling and direct supervision of seasonal agricultural employees.
- Inspect equipment or facilities for condition or maintenance needs and maintain inventories of materials, equipment and products.
- Perform direct field activities: use hand tools (shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, knives), till soil, apply fertilizers, transplant, weed, thin, prune, apply pesticides, grade, sort, pack and load harvested products.
- Assist with farm building and field maintenance, repair fences, repair or cover hoop houses, install irrigation pipes and fittings.
- Maintain produce and plants, preventing damage during handling.
- 12 months of verifiable agricultural experience on a vegetable farm, including manual and mechanized tasks associated with commodity production and harvest.
- Driver's license with a clean driving record; must be able to obtain an insurable license and may be required to drive company vehicles.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Lifting requirement up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements, extensive pushing/pulling, extensive walking, and frequent stooping.
- Drug screening required.
