Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Day shift, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday-Friday
OverviewWe're seeking a skilled PLC Controls Technician to support automation equipment across a commercial kitchen facility, with a primary focus on an ILPRA tray sealing machine running Mitsubishi controls and a GSI labeling/printing system.
Responsibilities- Program, troubleshoot, and maintain Mitsubishi PLC-controlled automation equipment, primarily the ILPRA tray sealing machine
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and controls issues to minimize equipment downtime
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and electrical diagrams
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and equipment status
- Collaborate with the senior electrical technician and broader maintenance team
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on site
- Support kitchen equipment/appliance repair as needed (not required, but valued)
- Strong Mitsubishi PLC programming and troubleshooting experience — core requirement
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Prior experience in a food production, commercial kitchen, or industrial/manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a physically demanding environment
- Comfortable working with specialty/niche industrial packaging equipment
- Team-oriented, proactive, strong culture fit
- Experience with packaging/labeling equipment controls
- Kitchen equipment/appliance repair background
