HVAC Technician

Build Your Future with HB McClure. HB McClure is hiring an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support our York service territory.

Starting compensation is around $32/hour based on experience, plus a $2,500 hiring bonus for qualified technicians. Even better, our on‑call rotation averages only about 2–3 times per year.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems.
• Service equipment including RTUs, split systems, refrigeration systems, VRFs, boilers, chillers, and VAV systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control circuits.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and recommendations.
• Work safely and independently while maintaining high‑quality workmanship.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation averaging only about 2–3 times per year.

• 3–5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to safely perform job duties, understand technical documentation, and interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with electrical schematics, refrigeration practices, and control circuits.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• EPA certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to safely work from ladders, lifts, and rooftops.
