We're seeking a Chiller Technician to join one of our client's mechanical service teams supporting large commercial and industrial facilities. Our client is a well-established contractor with a strong field workforce, deep bench of senior technicians, and a reputation for handling some of the most complex central plant work in the region. Their service division runs lean, pays well, and keeps their people busy year-round.
Responsibilities- Diagnose, repair, and maintain centrifugal, screw, and absorption chillers across commercial and industrial sites
- Service and troubleshoot supporting plant equipment including motors, pumps, valves, controls, and cooling towers
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, eddy current testing coordination, and seasonal start-ups and shutdowns
- Respond to emergency service calls during rotating on-call shifts and resolve issues on first visit when possible
- Document service work, refrigerant usage, and equipment condition through the company's work order system
- 5+ years of hands-on experience servicing equipment 10 tons and larger
- EPA Universal certification required
- Background in central plant operations or large-scale HVAC systems
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability across building systems
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation including nights and weekends
- Clear written and verbal communication for customer-facing service work
