Location: New York

We are seeking an experienced handyman to support the building manager with daily operations and maintain the residential building efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • General maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness to ensure facilities and equipment are in good working order.
  • Janitorial maintenance (cleaning facilities as needed).
  • Builds and repairs cabinets, counters, closets, and other structures.
  • Make minor electric repairs, plastering and painting as needed.
  • Perform minor plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, washers, and minor pipe replacements.
  • Repair entrance and internal doors, locks, and hinges.
  • Reporting any concerns to management.
  • Perform daily walk‑throughs of the mechanical spaces and building grounds.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in residential building maintenance and tenant interaction.
  • Proven experience as a handyman.
  • Experience with hardware tools, electrical equipment, and power tools.
  • Understanding of BMS, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems such as chillers, cooling towers, heat pumps, gas boilers, and pumps.
  • General carpentry knowledge/skills, including hanging doors, cutting holes and hinges on doors, trim, crown molding, deck, and framing.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate (oral and written) with employees, contractors, and vendors.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and respond immediately to building emergencies on a 24‑hour basis.
  • High school graduate, trade school certificate, or equivalent work experience.
  • Preferred licenses such as S12, S13, P99, etc.
