PART TIME SCENIC FABRICATION TEAM - EXP CARPENTERS PREFERRED

Chief Objectives of This Position: The Scenic Fabricator will maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the Company and a favorable image of the Company. They will be skilled in their craft, disciplined, possess a high personal drive, and remain conscientious with details and accuracy for the installation of sets, activations, vignettes, props, objects of art, and environments. This role requires above‑average attention to detail, concern for high quality work, and a strong commitment to tasks completed on time.

Reporting: Direct report to Director of Production - Creative Services. General reporting to Scenic Shop Manager, Build Leads, and Project Managers.

General Responsibilities:

• Work in a fast‑paced environment while managing specialized work efficiently, confidently, and competently.
• Maintain high standards for high‑quality work.
• Complete work outlined in the Production Schedules and Fabrication Decks tailored to each unique project.
• Work under the supervision of Build Leads to ensure all builds are true to the design, installed efficiently, and meet safety requirements.

Other Duties:

• In‑shop and on‑site fabrication, installation, or breakdown work required.
• Specialized skills may include carpentry, scenic or mural painting, finishing work, etc.
• Create and contribute to a structured, organized, and efficient workplace environment.
• Accountability for great results in high‑pressure situations.
• Focus on the big picture and make well‑thought‑out, well‑analyzed decisions.
• Multi‑task and remain focused on critical objectives.
• Read and follow directions, blueprints/schematics, and renderings or sketches.
• Comfortable working within a collaborative, optimistic, and imaginative team.

Job Qualifications:

• Required 3+ years of experience in scenic, carpentry, electronic assembly, CNC operation, floral design, costume sewing, upholstery, sculpting, or other related fields.
• Proficiency with shop equipment and tools.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail.
• Excellent listener and communicator (verbal and written).
• Ability to prevent and/or minimize material waste.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Strong desire to learn and grow with the company.
• Working knowledge of Google Office Suite.
