Maintenance Technician

Monroe Group is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Dallas, TX.

Summary: Under the supervision and direction of the Community Manager, the Maintenance Technician ensures the overall physical aspects of the community meet the established standards for safety, appearance, and operation within the budgeted financial goal, including the interior and exterior of the building and all other areas related to day‑to‑day building operations. The role oversees outside contracts and vendors.

• Perform general maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior structure
• Perform property and unit inspections
• Maintain the property curb appeal and general cleanliness
• Schedule and maintain the Make‑Ready Board
• Purchase materials and manage the budget
• Ensure that maintenance teams deliver safe, decent, and sanitary housing to all residents

Pay rate: $23.00–$25.00 per hour, plus $500 Sign‑on Bonus and $1,500 Retention Bonus.

• Previous experience in apartment/multi‑family maintenance
• English language proficiency (read, speak, and write)
• Ability to pass a full background check

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of maintenance technician experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair knowledge
• Experience in an affordable housing environment preferred
• Technical training and license preferred
