Home Work Renovation is a boutique, high‑end residential renovation company. The owners/partners of the company are both highly experienced carpenters and builders with a combined 50+ years of experience in many different aspects of construction/renovation and project management. We love to share our knowledge and teach others via the projects we build together. We are a rapidly growing company working on several active projects in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
We are seeking a High‑End Rough + Finish Carpenter / Renovation Specialist with 10+ years of experience to work side‑by‑side with us.
We work on a wide range of projects including Custom Bathroom & Custom Kitchen Renovations, Full Apartment Renovations & Full Townhouse/Brownstone Renovation projects. We are looking for a reliable, responsible, efficient carpenter whose confidence, has a positive/humble attitude, and is looking for long‑term growth.
Responsibilities- Perform high‑end rough and finish carpentry work on custom bathroom, kitchen, apartment, and townhouse projects.
- Lead and coordinate a small team of trades and other crew members.
- Identify and resolve potential construction problems before they become costly.
- Maintain project schedules and ensure timely completion of work.
- Communicate with the team using email, Whats App and project‑management software.
- Install fine carpentry, high‑end finishes and millwork.
- Arrange and provide reference photos of past work and customer references.
- U.S. citizenship or valid work authorization.
- 10+ years of experience as a rough or finish carpenter working high‑end renovation projects.
- Ability to direct other trades and manage a small team.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and proactive approach to construction issues.
- Energetic, motivated, punctual, and dependable.
- Expertise in fine carpentry, high‑end finishes and millwork installations.
- Must provide pictures of past work and customer references.
- Preferred: 40‑hour OSHA certification.
- Physical ability to lift at least 50 lbs safely.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient reading of construction plans.
- Proficiency in using email, Whats App and project‑management software.
- Own fundamental tools of the trade.
