Our vital and growing firm is searching for an experienced Laborer with a clean NYS Driver’s License; to perform a variety of manual duties to support plumbing crew.

• Perform in all aspects of laborer work, including but not limited to:
  Complete and submit DOT logs daily
• Check load and complete pre and post trip safety inspection per DOT requirements
• Keep trucks clean inside and out, and check inspections and registrations for compliance
• Report any issues or incidents to supervisor
• Load and unload cargo, must be able to lift 80 pounds
• Operate vehicles in a safe manner
• Perform work outdoors at construction sites dealing with inclement weather
• Excavation by hand
• Use hand and power tools, performing grade checks, jack hammering, cuts and fills
• Clean up vehicles / equipment
• Work at a fast and hard pace
• Wear all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Understand Balkan’s health and safety practices and DOT, EPA & OSHA regulations
• Compliance with All Policies including:
  Safety, Safety, Safety!

• Valid New York State Driver’s License; clean driver’s license and good driving record
• Able to handle physical workload - able to lift 45 pounds and 75 pounds or more with assistance
• Able to break concrete, dig for sewer / water line repair and new installation
• This is a safety sensitive position, a drug and alcohol test will be required
