Diesel Mechanic - Day Shift

Starting salary of $25‑$32 per hour, depending on experience. Stable hours for financial stability. Boot reimbursement worth an additional $200 per year. Monday – Friday, every week. Shift: 5:00 am to 3:00 pm. Rotational Saturdays. Normal setting: a repair/maintenance shop at the Quogue, NY hauling site.

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
• Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles; prioritize employee and community safety.
• Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage and repair times.
• Assist senior Mechanics in project work.
• Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and established safety procedures.

• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Over 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical.

Physical effort includes frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constant standing, walking, and grasping; occasional sitting and balancing. Exposure to cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes. Work is performed inside a garage/shop and outside under inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
